December 8:
Arrival New York

8am- Arrive into EWR airport

This morning we will arrive in New York City (Newark, NJ Airport) and transfer to our hotel.

Only one arrival transfer is included. Make sure you arrive by 8am (9am at the latest) so we can all ride into the city together!

(Please coordinate your arrival/departure times with Zone Travel. There will be only ONE round trip airport transfer included in the package- so we want to make sure we all arrive around the same time.)

As we ease our way into the heart of the city, we'll pause for a moment at the ever-inviting Tompkins Square Bagels, where we can indulge in a tasty breakfast that's as vibrant and flavorful as our surroundings.

The rest of the morning and afternoon you are free to spend at leisure.
OR
You can join us as we explore the Bryant Park Winter Village.
The Winter Village is more than just a location, it's a tradition, a melting pot of diverse cultures, and a place where every visitor is swept up in the joyous spirit of the season.
An absolute must for locals and tourists alike, the Bryant Park Winter Village is an experience that encapsulates the magic of New York City in the wintertime. In addition to the ice rink and artisan stalls, you'll discover a vast array of opportunities for dining and shopping. The park is home to a food hall called The Lodge by Urbanspace, where you can indulge in a range of culinary delights from some of NYC's best eateries. For literature lovers, there's even a free-to-enjoy outdoor reading room, stocked with books and games.

Since NYC is a favorite location of ours, we have a few suggestions for the best eats in NYC!
Stick with us… and we’ll be dipping into our favorite shops, eateries and snack joints all over midtown.

If time allows, we’ll spend the time checking out Times Square, Macy’s Santaland and the Grand Central Station and a few more spots along the way.

There's one more stop to make that perfectly encapsulates the Christmas spirit - a visit to the legendary Rolf's German Restaurant.
As a group we can decide if we want to stay around Bryant Park or go to Rolf’s and see if we can get a drink or lunch at the bar! (we do not have reservations and there will only be first come, first served space available at the bar= but just seeing this restaurant may be worth it!)

Nestled in Manhattan's Gramercy Park, Rolf's becomes a veritable Christmas spectacle during the holiday season. You're greeted by a riotous display of lights, baubles, tinsel, and mistletoe that cover every inch of its interior, creating a dazzlingly festive atmosphere that's nothing short of enchanting. But it's not just about the decorations; Rolf's is renowned for its hearty, authentic German fare, adding the wonderful aromas of mulled wine and bratwurst to the mix. It's easy to lose track of time in this festive wonderland, a place where holiday cheer is in full bloom. In this enchanting setting, it's hard not to feel swept up in the sheer magic of a New York City Christmas at Rolf's. It's a seasonal tradition that should be on every visitor's itinerary - a true Christmas spectacle, and a dining experience you'll never forget.

4p- Check into the hotel and get freshened up for the evening

5p- Happy Hour at Essex Oyster Bar

7p- Christmas Spectacular Show at Radio City Music Hall

This evening, experience a NYC Christmas tradition that started all the way back in 1933! At the Radio City Music Hall, the Rockettes perform their Christmas Spectacular Show! And we’ve already got great seats confirmed for you!

For nearly a century, the Rockettes have been American icons. Not only have they appeared at Radio City Music Hall in thousands of stage spectaculars, the dance company has also performed at the center of many memorable moments in history—like joining the USO and entertaining troops abroad during wartime and even performing at a Presidential inauguration.

December 9:
See NYC

Today is a free day.

We don’t want to jam pack your schedule TOO much… but, if you’re up for it, we have a few ideas to make the most of your time here.

Take today to either explore NYC on your own, get some Christmas shopping in, or join us for a group adventure in lower Manhattan.

We believe that experiencing NYC isn’t complete without visiting the 9/11 memorial and shops. So, although this experience is not included in the package, we recommend starting the day with a visit.

On your way there (or in place of- if you choose not to go up to One World Observatory), see Wall Street, walk the Brooklyn Bridge and see the memorial and shops. (These are all free sites to explore!)

11am One World Observatory*

After breakfast, elevate your experience (in more ways than one) with a visit to the One World Observatory. See the New York City skyline from over 100 stories above the streets – the highest point in the city. Take in breathtaking 360° views from the comfort of an indoor climate-controlled space.

NOT to be missed- the show on the way up is worth every penny, and we believe this is one of the best ways to see Manhattan.
*Added cost

In the late afternoon we will take the Staten Island Ferry across the Hudson River.

Get your cameras ready…During this boat ride we will sail right by the Statue of Liberty!
And on our way back …if we can time it juuuust right, the city lights will start to come up for the evening.

If you still have a festive spark left in you after all the thrill and merriment, we have one more magical experience up our sleeve - a trip across the iconic Brooklyn Bridge to admire the dazzling Christmas lights of Dyker Heights.

This Brooklyn neighborhood is renowned for its extravagant holiday displays, where every home is a canvas for a twinkling array of lights, larger-than-life decorations, and festive grandeur. Walking through these illuminated streets, you'll feel as though you've stepped into a real-life Christmas fairy tale.

The Dyker Heights Christmas Lights are an awe-inspiring spectacle, a testament to the neighborhood's unwavering holiday spirit and a visual feast that's sure to brighten up even the coldest winter night. To cap off the day, we'll stroll through this luminary wonderland, allowing the radiant glow of thousands of lights to guide our path and fill our hearts with the pure joy and enchantment of the season. This is the New York City Christmas experience - vibrant, jubilant, and filled with irrefutable magic.

We have a few Holiday Pop-up bar suggestions for those wanting to have a little more Christmas Cheer before turning in for the night! ;)

December 10:
Spa day & Tavern on the Green

Enjoy the morning on your own by getting your last minute Christmas Shopping done, visiting the Empire State Building or take a nice walk trough Central Park.

OR
10a- Dress up like an elf and join us for a Charity Hot Chocolate crawl with Elfcon!

Elves love hot cocoa, but ElfCon is also about sharing and helping others- kids help kids and that includes kids in need.
Don’t you want to help a kid? You sure do! And when you donate that warm and fuzzy feeling won’t be from the hot cocoa– you just did a very good thing. Give yourself a nice hearty elf pat on the shoulder.

During ElfCon’s second year, ElfCon supported The Trevor Project and Making Headway Foundation charities (each approved hot cocoa location agreed to donate a portion of their ElfCon hot cocoa sales to ElfCon’s charities). We aren’t sure the charities for this year, but we can expect a good time for a good cause.

1p- Spa Day*

After lunch (or our hot chocolate crawl), it’s time to relax at Aire Ancient Baths.

In the midst of the bustle and fast-paced rhythm of downtown, right at the heart of TriBeCa, there is an oasis of tranquility exclusively designed to balance mind and body. Located at a restored historical building, originally an 1883 textile factory, the AIRE experience consists of an unforgettable journey through sensations across the various baths with water at different temperatures that will transport you to the ancient times of the Roman, Greek and Ottoman traditions.

90-minutes in the baths are included. Massages and other spa treatments are available for an additional cost.

(and for movie lovers, this site was a filming location in John Wick!)
*Added cost

After our time relaxing in the pools (around 3p), we’ll grab a light lunch (or snack) nearby before heading back to the hotel to relax and get ready for this evening.

6p- Walk down 5th Ave to see the store front displays

In keeping with time-honored tradition, no festive trip to New York City is complete without a leisurely stroll down the iconic 5th Avenue. The street, renowned for its high-end shopping, transforms into a veritable winter wonderland, featuring spectacular window displays that imbibe the spirit of the season.
Stores like Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue, among others, go all out to showcase elaborate, whimsical, and often thought-provoking window vignettes that leave passersby awestruck.
The journey along the 5th Avenue during Christmas is not just a shopping spree, but an opportunity to witness a compelling blend of art, fashion, and holiday cheer. Each storefront is a canvas showcasing a unique interpretation of the season, a spectacle that invites you to pause, admire, and revel in the magic of a New York City Christmas.

7.30pm Farewell dinner reservations*

This evening we’ll enjoy our Farewell dinner together as a group.

We have reservations at the famous, Tavern on the Green!

This restaurant is a New York staple and a must do on our NYC trip. F.A.Q.

Can I pay by Zelle?

Yes!

This is a fast and FREE way to pay!
For those who don’t know what Zelle is… it is very much like a wire transfer (but it is not a wire transfer).

Everyone’s bank is different, though, so you may want to call/go in to your local bank and ask to have the maximum amount available to transfer every day.

Example: Some banks only allow $500/day transfer. Other banks will allow $1200/day.

Always be careful when making payments through Zelle to people that you do not know. There is no protection guarantee provided and you cannot reverse the fee.

The Pros for using Zelle:

  • It is FREE (no processing fees)!

  • It is instantaneous (funds will go directly to Zone Travel- so this is the absolute fastest way to make a payment)

The Cons for using Zelle:

  • Every bank is different when it comes to maximum amount available to be transferred every day. So, this may mean that you need to make multiple payments to Zone Travel, multiple days in a row.

  • It does require an app download onto your phone, and you need to set up your account with your bank information.

Can I pay by check?

Yes!

If you would like to avoid the 4% credit card processing fees, you may pay by check.
It is very important that you pay in advance of the deadlines and allow ample time for delivery.

Payments received after the deadline could result in cancelation of your reservation or increased fees.

There are two ways to pay by check:

  • Mail the check

  • Deposit directly at a local branch
