CANCELLATION

Cancellation in writing must be received by Zone Travel 90 days prior to departure for appropriate refund on the land tour cost minus the following fees:

• Commissions, Planning Fees and Travel insurance are non-refundable.

Zone Travel LLC and its cooperative destination incur unrecoverable charges preparing for your trip therefore, no refunds if cancellations occur less than 60 days before departure. Cancellations more than 60 days prior to departure are based on individual group bookings per the outlined confirmation document you receive.

What are some general etiquette tips for visiting Germany?

• Greet people with a friendly “Guten Morgen” (good morning) or “Guten Abend” (good evening).

• Being on time is very important. Even a few minutes late can be seen as disrespectful.

• Avoid making jokes about sensitive history, especially related to World War II or the Nazi era

What currency is used in Germany?

Germany uses the Euro (€). Credit cards are widely accepted, but it’s a good idea to carry some cash for smaller shops, cafés, and taxis.

What is the weather like in november?

November in Germany is typically colder with chances of rain, with daytime temperatures around 6–11°C (43–52°F). Snow is possible but not common except in higher elevations or late November. Overall, it feels chilly and wet, so warm, waterproof clothing is essential.

What should I wear during the walking tours?

Comfortable walking shoes are a must, as you will be walking a lot and some tours included a lot of stairs (like Neuschwanstein). In November the weather is transitioning from fall to winter. Make sure to check the current weather before packing, but make sure to bring jackets / coats.

How to get around germany?

Public transportation in Germany is efficient, reliable, and well-connected, with trains, buses, trams, and subways covering both cities and rural areas. Systems like the Deutsche Bahn make intercity travel easy, while local networks are frequent and punctual.

Can I drink the tap water?

Yes—you can safely drink tap water in Germany. In fact, it’s known for having very high water quality standards, often stricter than bottled water regulations

What is the tipping etiquette in Germany

Tipping is appreciated but not mandatory. In restaurants, leaving 5-10% of the bill is customary. For taxis, rounding up the fare is common.

CAN I PAY BY ZELLE?

Yes!

We started taking Zelle payments last month and we found this to be a fast and FREE way to pay!
For those who don’t know what Zelle is… it is very much like a wire transfer (but it is not a wire transfer).

Everyone’s bank is different, though, so you may want to call/go in to your local bank and ask to have the maximum amount available to transfer every day.

Example: Some banks only allow $500/day transfer. Other banks will allow $1200/day.

Always be careful when making payments through Zelle to people that you do not know. There is no protection guarantee provided and you cannot reverse the fee.

The Pros for using Zelle:

• It is FREE (no processing fees)!

• It is instantaneous (funds will go directly to Zone Travel- so this is the absolute fastest way to make a payment)

The Cons for using Zelle:

• Every bank is different when it comes to maximum amount available to be transferred every day. So, this may mean that you need to make multiple payments to Zone Travel, multiple days in a row.

• It does require an app download onto your phone, and you need to set up your account with your bank information.

Yes!

If you would like to avoid the 4% credit card processing fees, you may pay by check.
It is very important that you pay in advance of the deadlines and allow ample time for delivery.

Payments received after the deadline could result in cancelation of your reservation or increased fees.
